Oil impregnation is a core Proform capability and an important advantage of powder metal bearing technology. The interconnected porosity created during the powder metal process allows lubricating oil to be stored within the component, creating self-lubricating bronze bearings and bushings that can reduce friction, wear, and maintenance requirements. Proform manufactures oil-impregnated bronze sleeve bearings, flange bearings, bushings, thrust washers, and other components for applications where dependable lubrication and long service life are critical. Standard products utilize SAE oil impregnation, with alternative lubricant options available for specific operating conditions and application requirements.
